Before you meet our Portland dentist in person, you can learn a little more about Dr. Hyungsup Lee below.
Why did Dr. Lee decide to become a dentist?
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Hyungsup Lee has always liked working with people and learning about different cultures firsthand. A big reason he came to the U.S. was to immerse himself in the diverse population. He realized that dentistry would allow him to have close, one-on-one relationships with his patients while also stimulating his interests in art and science, so when it came time to choose a career, it seemed like the perfect fit.
How is Dr. Lee's dental office unique?
Dr. Lee received his bachelor's degree from Oregon State University, and he went on to earn his dental degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He has been practicing in the Portland metro area since 2015.
Every year, he completes numerous hours of continuing education and advanced training, and he is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the R.V Tucker Gold Restoration Study Club.
Outside of the dental office, What does Dr. Lee like to do?
Dr. Lee’s favorite thing to do outside of the dental office is spend time with his wife and their three children, who he says have helped transform him into an even more nurturing and patient person. He also enjoys biking, snowboarding, playing golf, and stand-up paddleboarding. He’s a big fan of singing karaoke as well, so be sure to ask him what his go-to song is!
